This paper provides knowledge and recommendations for the “best practice” use of information, communication, and collaboration technologies for stakeholder engagement in UK-based planning and environmental decision-making. Tackling complex environmental issues requires inclusive and participatory decision-making processes, however current frameworks overlook the impact of technology on achieving positive outcomes.
